On the 9th July 2012 the MARS Unit of the IES published its latest Food Security Bulletin on the current situation in the Horn of Africa. The Bulletin outlines the progress in the area since the start of the current growing season, showing that food security indicators have been generally improving, particularly since the 2010-11 crisis. It gives an overview of the current situation, providing information on what can be expected for the upcoming harvest and identifying uncertainties for future scenarios. It also analyses the evolution of market prices in Somalia and presents the general food security situation in South Sudan.
