Available Positions for Trainees at the IES in 2009

THE CALL IS CLOSED

 

In-service training is a period spent at the Joint Research Centre, Ispra, Italy, in accordance with the rules set out in the Rules governing the Traineeship Scheme of 16 March 2007. In-service training enables trainees to acquire personal experience and to put into practice the knowledge they have acquired during their studies, professional carriers or to prepare thesis for university degree or Master or PhD.

 

Three types of training are offered (please specify in the application form):

Type 1) training related to the preparation of a thesis for a university degree

Type 2) training after university education (or its equivalent)

Type 3) industrial placement.

 

The minimum duration is three months and the maximum is twelve months (see art. 2 and 5 of the Rules).

 

In-service training takes place within the fields of activity of the Institute for Environment and Sustainability at the JRC Ispra, Italy.

 

The call is open to trainees from EU Member States, or Candidate Countries, or CC benefiting from pre-accession strategies and other Countries contributing financially to the Framework Programme. A limited number of nationals of non-Member States may also be accepted with derogation from the Director General.

Contract
Accomodation the trainees will have the possibility to rent a furnished flat if available.

If you are interested in one of the projects published (see list below), please submit an on-line application, specifying the number of the project you are interested in, the type of the training, the duration and the possible starting date.

IMPORTANT! IES WILL ACCEPT ONLY ONE APPLICATION PER CANDIDATE
(Candidates who have not been selected for a project,
can introduce a new application for another project only once the previous one has been closed).

Please note that only the candidates selected for one of the positions published will receive a notification from the IES Management Support Unit within 2 months from the closure of the call.
