Katalin Tóth

 

Katalin, from Budapest in Hungary, is a member of the INSPIRE Data Specification Support Team.

She has MSc's from the Moscow Institute of Geodesy in Aerial Surveying and Cartography and also in Photogrammetry. In 1985 she gained a Diploma with distinction.   She then went on to receive a scholarship at the Hungarian Academy of Science to carry out research into "Remote sensing in Earth Sciences".  Since then Katalin attended the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen, where she achieved a 'Mastère Spécialisé' in Management Financier et Relation Bancaires (2000). 

Meanwhile Katalin was working at the Institute of Geodesy, Cartography, and Remote Sensing, Budapest (1998 - 2004).   She led on projects on harmonisation of administrative boundary data and production and quality assurance of orthoimagery), participation in contracting core surveying tasks.  She was also involved in EU funded projects.

Since 2004 Katalin has been working at the Spatial Data Infrastructures Unit.  She is part of the INSPIRE Data Specfication Support Team, and is the contact point for Administrative Units, Geographical Names, and Cadastral Parcels.   She carries out research in data specification methodology, multiple representation, and data consistency.
