Other current activities
In addition to the work carried out within the framework of the JRC Multi Annual Institutional Work Programme (MAWP) the Unit is actively involved in other research activities, ad-hoc policy support, and third party work.
Research activities
These are mainly funded by FP6 and FP7, and are important to share experience with other project partners, exploit synergies and acquire new knowledge. The Unit is currently involved in the following FP6/FP7 projects:

Administrative Agreement' Projects
The Unit sometimes provides direct support to European Commission Services to adddress specific issues of common interest that don't necessarily have a research basis. At the moment the Unit is running the following studies, partially funded through Administrative Agreements:

Within the framework of the SDI units work on INSIRE, we are undertaking a research project to explore the opportunities of information volunteered by the public to support public policy.
